A Lesson With Interest

In the beautiful town of Vijay Nagar, there lived a rich money lender named Nakul. He used to lend money and some vessels for household functions. He was a greedy man and cheated the poor people, when a borrower was returning some borrowed vessels to Nakul.

Nakul: See, these vessels are damaged pay me 5 rupees more each vessel.

Poor Man: Nakul, this is a small damage, how can it cost so much?

Nakul: The money is to repair the vessels.

Poor Man: But you are charging more than the price of the vessel itself, it’s not fair.

The helpless people decided only Raman could find a solution for this. At Ramans house.

Poor man: Raman, please save us from Nakul.

Raman: What happened friends? What’s your?

Poor Man: Nakul is cheating us and he charges more interest for the money we borrow.

Raman: Don’t worry my friends I’ll teach him a lesson.

Raman planned a good idea to teach Nakul a lesson. At Nakuls house

Raman: I have a function at home; can you please lend me 2 vessels?

Nakul: Take these vessels and return them in two days, you have to pay 10 rupess for that.

After two days, Raman went to Nakul’s house to return the vessels. He took two small vessels along with the big ones.

Raman: Nakul here are your vessels and the money.

Nakul: What is this? why are you giving these small vessels? They are not mine.

Raman: Nakul, you forgot to notice the vessels I borrowed were pregnant and they delivered babies the baby vessels belong to you. Please accept them.

As Nakul was a greedy man, he took them. He thought Rahman was foolish.

Few days later Raman came back and borrowed 20 vessels for a wedding at his home. Days passed by and Raman did not return at all. Nakul went to Ramans house.

Nakul: Hey! Raman where are the whistles you borrowed?

Raman: Oh Nakul! I’m sorry. The vessels you gave were all pregnant.

Nakul: Then, you should have given doctor vessels along with the babies.

Raman: Sorry Nakul, they all died while delivering.

Nakul understood that he had been tricked and then he became a good man.

Moral: Nakul was a real greedy man. He was cheating poor, Raman was never in favour of such people. Ramon himself never accepted injustice and always tried hard to help others. Raman took advantage of Nakul’s greedy nature and trapped him. Everyone thanked Raman.
